Cold clothes: Parka and Fur

Pac A Parka

Naturally, people choose clothes based on series of reasons which may include taste, fashion, trend, function, cost, preference and so on. The reasons why we wear what we wear may vary, but it still remains valid that a person should only choose a sort of attire that he or she is comfortable with as well as in relative to the situation he or she happens to find his or herself.

Rain Parkas

This write up or article would invariably focus on one or two cloth types not usually discussed in the world of fashion or commonly. Consideration shall be given to rain parkas and fur coats.

It goes without mentioning that both attire kinds are temperature regulating attires in that they keep mainly cold or water as in the case of the former.

Waterproof Parkas

Rain parkas or any other kind parka at all are recorded to have been originally made by the Eskimos from seal skin as temperature regulators. They are now often seen as fur- lined hooded outfits which come in knee- length sizes and are seen to have front openings.

Winter Parkas For Women

Rain parkas would normally guard the wearer against many extreme cold temperatures due to the material it is made from which maybe stuff downs or synthetic clothing materials. Parkas are worn by a large variety of people today, but mostly and predominantly by temperate and arctic dwellers. Some wear it as matter of course daily due to the temperature obtainable in their environment, while others wear it for occasional purposes like during skiing, heavy rainstorms, and the likes.

Generally people in the tropics find little to no use for this kind of clothing and are therefore not disposed to purchase them, here under heavy rainfalls a raincoat is used.

Fur coats are also worn for their insulation properties against cold weather and are therefore similar to the parka but only in that respect. While the parka is a very function attire type, the fur coat leans more towards the fashion and lifestyle niche as they are generally worn to depict class, wealth and sophistication to say the least.

Another major difference between a typical fur coat and a parka may be seen in the way either one is produced. While parkas are almost always oiled to double or enhance its insulation properties and ultimately its functionality, fur coats lean more towards style and form relative to the wearer.

It is also fact that the fur coat is only suited for the temperate region as in the parka.
